Setting Directions

"Leadership is not a position or a title, it is an action and example."

"Leadership is about making others better as a result of your presence and making sure that the impact lasts in your absence."

Integrating Varied Philosophies into my Teaching Practice

As I continue on my learning journey through my recent completion of my PQP Part 1, I gain insight and knowledge from a variety of different sources; my students, colleagues, and my courses. These sources continue to help me provide the best instruction I can to the individuals that sit in front of me everyday.

My Beliefs

As faith leaders in a Catholic school, God is asking us that He be at the center of all that we do and how we interact with others. What we say, what we do, and how we act and interact with others needs to mimic what Jesus would do. Thus, following in Jesus’ footsteps and leading by example is essential. We need to treat others the way we want to be treated, and show concern and respect for others. “Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you.” (Romans 12:3) I believe that by doing this, I will be more successful in creating a positive environment for staff, students, and parents, and it is assist in promoting respectful communication.
